Hope you all made it across in fine shape and all the best wishes for 2020.

New Year's Eve/New Year tradition is usually ski it out/ski it in. Not this year!

Yesterday the travel would have been "interesting" and with 42 cms of fresh snow in the last 24 hours, they had a warning on the website
Skate skiing is highly discouraged, it's a touring day i.e. the classic tracks were filling in as soon as they were set.

Today looks like more of the same. Besides yesterday's protein overload — too much fish and beef — has me feeling sluggish.
I told SWMBO that it will be a w-h-i-l-e before I need more fish and beef. :-! :-! OK first instance of 2020 hindsight!

Happy New Year!

Some snow here would be a nice change from the heavy rains and wind here lately...enjoy the touring HJ I bet it will be beautiful conditions and scenery!

I will join in with the best wishes to everyone - blue skies, sunshine and mild weather in North Yorkshire - had a superb walk with the dog at the edge of the dales today. Going to get on with some modelling this evening.

Hello everyone,
Happy New Year, my friends. That's quite a snowfall, HJ! We got a bit of dusting here and that has turned to ice. Very little snow on the ground.
Temps right around 0C. Hoping for snow.
My heart goes out to the people of Australia...what a horror for the people and the poor animals who are being devastated in their environment.
What a year coming: elections, Brexit, Climate.....all kinds of things that disrupt.
Hoping for peace and also enjoying our camaraderie here
All the best everyone.

A slightly belated Happy New Year to all.
Wish the weather would cool down a bit here as would feel a lot more winter like with at least some frost instead of rain.
Still we are a lot better off than the likes of Australia and my heart also goes out to those affected by the extremes of weather.
