Well as I got a big refund from the council and it was recently my birthday I splashed out a tad

Om, HOm & Nm9!

It came well packed but a couple of sand pipes and three guard irons had come adrift. Easy to fix back on with a spot of glue but I think they got knocked off by the bogie bumping around in transit. No damage just the glue broken.

It’s well up to the standard of the Tm and silent in operation. I went for the dc version as I decided £250 for sound and servos was something I didn’t need when I can add sound for £90 and I wouldn’t use the servo pantographs on my planned layout.

Couldn’t resist getting the Saurer Post bus out to see it alongside.
The scale difference might work in my favour on the layout if I do the conventional thing and you view it from the valley side but I’m having thoughts of turning it round! The idea of the train behind the station as a view block appeals and the drop off to the valley would make transition to a backscene easy . . .
