Unfortunately I'm at ExpoNG on the Saturday and working on the Sunday! So near yet so far!

I've never been away :D
Although these days there are so many other 'distractions', good and not so, that the train cupboard door hinges are going to need a squirt of WD40 before I can get them open :|

If you need a validation of the forum, Josh just popped over to the UK to deliver some Om RhB in time for Christmas ;) Thanks Josh :)

So that’s Canada for me, UK for Josh, where are the rest of you going to meet up with others off the forum? That trip to Switzerland . . . . ;)
Merry Christmas all :)

Super!

Since SWMBO consumes most of our carbon footprint, I get to stay home and do the required skiing :))
Kidding aside, I like to stay home over the Holidays; don't have to worry about getting there or getting home.
Speaking of which the forecast for the next 24 hours "promises" 50cm of snow on the major connection from our place to the West Coast. I'll link some of the road web cams tomorrow.
That could be "very interesting" since most of the time one or the other truck driver "forgot" to mount the chains at the last chain up place before the really nasty hill. Ends up sideways across three Northbound lanes and "that's all she wrote" for a few hours.

My next trip to CH is planned for 2020 when I turn 75. For the occasion I'd like to ski the Engadine Marathon, all 42km of it. We shall see; last time was 1985 when skate technique was just in its infancy.

PS I just checked, the competition is a day before my birthday. B-)

Once upon a long time ago, I had a fanciful notion to polish up my bike and do the 'slowUp Mountain Albula'
The logistics of getting said bike to CH made it impractical....which was probably a lucky escape :))
