take a second look at this photo, 641 is propelling, Allegra is going up the hill.

it does mean you can get the viaduct photo from the 2nd coach (1st class with opening windows) with the loco just exiting the tunnel on to the Landwasser viadduct

Thanks Andy - would live to see a selection. 3d printing them would be interesting, a relatively simple shape, printed in white and some decals on transparent paper edited from photos would be an interesting project. Thinking it through, once the shape is done, a number of different liveries could be created quite readily.

Massive freight train, loco only has the one light on the front.

Er, sorry Glenn; can't agree with you there: a) yes, the bright bit on the right-hand-side is a headlight but I suspect that a patch of snow on the lens is refracting the light so we can see it more brightly than normal. In fact b), both the nearer and the upper lights are quite visibly lit, the further headlight merely seeming brighter because of the snow, while I also note that c), you can see the reflection of the single tail-light in the red paint of the container behind; which shows the general level of lighting is very low, thus making the refraction seem brighter than normal. At least, that's how I see it; other interpretations are available !

The loco with only one light is the train to Davos. The driver has already switched driving ends and you are seeing the end of the train. The loco being in push mode now. Depending on the locos driving direction the front light are both on and the back right light is on as a back marker to indicate you are seeing the back of the loco in the direction of travel.

The train to Davos must always wait up to 5 minutes after the departure of the trains to Chur or St Moritz before departing to wait for any passengers coming through the tunnel. The massive freight was probably waiting at the entrance to the station waiting for the train to St Moritz to clear.

Micah,
As I understand it, Glenn is actually talking about the 'massive' freight train. He is being ironic, of course, since it only has one wagon. Therefore, it is the Ge 6/6ii which is the subject of the comment about the single light. I beg to differ but leave it to you to draw your own conclusions as to whether he is right about that or not . . .

B-)
It's the sort of disturbance that a lot of Grischuna guests are probably happy to accept.

2nd wagon looks like split timber but yes, the third one looks like boulders.
