That is one of my favourite movies of all time--absolute classic--thanks for the reminder Glenn!

Looks like my theory was correct, making the Preda end connections, it's amazing how quick the work is progressing.

They really are cracking on with it - foundations for the catenary masts now in place.
That's something that Gromit didn't need to worry about :))

Good old Gromit! :)

That Preda webcam is great--lots of ballast action lately. The only thing better would be to be staying in that adjacent hotel! :p

:) They'd like a lot of things, but then there's reality!
With the current exchange rate, it's going to be a while.

UK rate has trundled down from 1.45 a couple of weeks ago to 1.38
I hope it doesn't drop too much more before Tuesday when I go currency shopping, and June when I go spend it.

Work progressing nicely. Presumably the construction between the station and the Kulm Preda is a new road access?
And place your bets on what the wooden posts on the platform will turn into - my 5 Francs is on one of those impressive 'info boards' that the
RhB seem so good at.

It looks like they are erecting a portable concrete batch plant today...

A couple of questions: Have they started tunnelling from the St. Moritz side? We've seen the tunnel segments being shipped through, but then it's odd that they would set up a batch plant on this side of the tunnel if they weren't starting from this (Preda) side. Sure is lots of action, though...neat to watch the progress.

Keith,
It's difficult to see behind the Trafohaus, but I have been wondering for a few days now if some form of tunnel portal has now appeared on the Preda side........

Good spot Mike, yes you can see the round shape if you look on the close up.
