Dallas Model Works have said in an email that the last supply of Shinohara track has, after that no more is being made until Walthers, in about 8 months (or so) time will be arranging a new production through another manufacturer.

Interesting - wonder what Bemo will do as I understood Shinohara manufactured track for them. Gather from a US thread that the the Shinohara family has retired and no one took over the business.

Bemo's Code 70 track items were made by Shinohara.
I wasn't/am not fond of that track, had too many problems when customers picked that make in HOm and HO.

I spoke to Andrew Burnham of Peco yesterda, they have been approached by Bemo with regards to track supply. He is under the impression that sales of Bemo sets is not top of the priority list so there seems to be no rush on their part. Peco will be considering the fianancial and logistical side of things before proceeding.
Other news is that one of the major Chinese manufacturers is out of business due to tax evasion investigations, another closed when the owner walked in one morning, said "I'm retiring, you can all go home" and that was the end of that.
