Having last been in Davos when I was about 8, can you tell me why "Davos", has 7 different stations: platz, dorf, etc. Which one is the actual city, and why so many identical names?
btw. it drives me crazy when the new people say there's a summit meeting in "dah[b]-voss".....it's "da-[b]voez", rhymes with 'goes'.... 8-| 8-|

Happy reading

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davos

The main station is Davos Platz.
The common name refers to the different parts being in the same "Landschaft" (region in the territorial sense).

Thanks....that answers my questions. ;-)
I remember visiting there with my mother, who had been stationed there towards the end of the war. She learned to ski there, and loved the Parsenn run to Klosters. She worked in the sanitoriums, and then worked helping the many refugees finding places to go, or connecting with families. We visited one of her friends and took a hike up the mountains and also rode the chair lift up, and walked back down.
I have some nice memories of the place.
Though I didn't know it at the time, I recall riding the RhB there, in the green cars, and we would stand in the aisles and lean forward without falling over due to the grade. We found that quite marvelous. I was 8 at the time.
