I've picked the wrong week for my next trip. 6th Feb is also the start of the above.

does anyone know it's like trying to travel on the trains to/from St Moritz during the event?
the website says something about having to pick up a reservation for a seat in order to get on a train, is there likely to be a problem turning up at 17:00 hoping to get a seat (in 1st class) on the 18:00? can it be booked in advance?

To answer my own question. During the first week Monday. To Friday, the trains weren't that busy, the weekends were very busy.
Out by the buffer stops there were a number of RhB staff, where required they issued boarding cards. I definitely didn't need one on the Tuesday, I caught the 17:48ish additional train and had half a coach to myself.

It was a very exciting downhill with the Swiss local boy prevailing.
