Hi all,

Interesting train Aug 4 at 17:29... with the constant changes it's hard to figure out where the train on Track3 is headed. Is that the Heidi-Land Express (Davos-Landquart)? I'm just guessing by the consist.

Yes, there seem to be certain times of day and light conditions that make for some great pictures.
It would be neat to have an onboard camera at the front of one of the locomotives, with a link to the internet. In this day and age, I wouldn't think it would be that hard to do. Of course, there is the liability aspect of it to think of. Farmer Mueller might not like to watch the webcam as the train heads perilously towards one of his stray cows in the middle of the tracks!

Hi Keith.
Nice Avatar!
There is a wed cam somewhere that does show from a Swiss loco.
RhB, I don't know. I found it surfing one time. Now I hope I can find it again.

Found it:

Well guys, looks like the RhB crew was working most of the night.

Of course the cam only gets triggered when they move something.

Too bad, I just checked the log on the 20th 17:43 Bernina Express 500 return from Campocologno is visible, however, the shot is two cars too early otherwise you could have seen me leaning out of the window, becasue I was greating everyone of you. Darn, if he would have stored the picture just a few seconds later. I shot 430 pictures, mostly Campocologno and Brusio, but also rolling stock, some details, but my main purpose was to collect info about the buildings in Campo and the houses and churches of Brusio. It was nice to see that my Brusio station is very close the the orignal. What fun that was.

If anybody wants a copy of the puctures, let me know.

FYI, next day I visited Peter Pfeiffer and we did the silly thing - playing with trains

I will come back to the US on Monday. On Tuesday I will translated the brochure for the 7 day trip into the Bernina under the guidance of Peter. Since space is limitted I hope that all of you are going to sign up, its about time that I am going to see you all.

Hi Axel,
Glad to hear you're having a good time over there.
If you see one, could you take some shots of the interior of the traktors? I'd like to know what color the dash and control panels are and the walls.
Thanks and enjoy the trip.

That's the first time I've seen a Fau at Filisur, actually, and it sure has been good action with all the ballasting going on. The only problem is that it is really 'sinking the hook' on the yellow tractor. How did I survive before the Filisur webcam??

It looks like the large mobile crane is finally setting the structure that has been sitting on the side of the platform into place at Filisur. Does anyone know what it is exactly? Is looks like they prefabricated most of the parts then are going to finish it in place. I'm guessing it's a covered area for passengers to wait under. Maybe HJ will get some pictures of the action.

Check out the colourful passenger cars in today's picture at 15:16. (20.10.2004, 15:16). I've never seen those cars before.

These ones?
http://webcam.schmalspurbahn.ch/Filisur ... 625243.jpg

I've never seen those before either. The roof looks very flat and they have the newer style plug doors. I wonder if it's something new but they sure ain't pretty.

I've also noticed the new platform roof got nearly twice as long in the last 2 or 3 days. Is this the size it's going to be or are they going to add more?
