.......for those items that won't fit elsewhere.

The Village Fountain was the forerunner of the water cooler. Of course in the Grisons that fountain water is nice and cold :winkywink: :spin: .

It was/is also the community bulletin board. Quickest way to spread the News (good, bad or inbetween).
More or less what's required here.
BTW the "Rants and Raves" would be the equivalent of the "Stammtisch" ( round table) at the local watering hole. The world has been changed several times over by the discussions that take place at the "Stammtisch". :wink: :smile: :grin: :lol:
