Notes from the first two days, in no particular order.
The former Stallinger timber site is now nearly totally demolished, although one building at the Chur end appears to be being refurbished.
Felsberg station is being redeveloped, new subway going in, new platforms being built.
A CCTV system with additional sensors (possibly heat detectors?) is being installed at Sagilains on the approach road to the motorail terminal.
The monats Buega, a monthly bus/rail travel pass for the area, is half price in July, so come quick for some cheap travel.
Cavadurli is undergoing signal replacement, the catenary appears to have recently been replaced.
Track work at Davos Glaris is in the process of being renewed.
801 was noted at Davos Monstein on a cement oriented engineer's train, stables for work on the viaduct at Cavdji (no idea if that's the correct spelling, it's between two tunnels of the same name toward Wiesen.
701 and 707 were on he down freight this evening towards Chur, 707 was not under power.
D2 and D4 followed a while later by D3 worked engineer's trains towards Samedan later in the evening.
108 was on a steam special today, hauled by 701 from Pontresina tender first to Zernez.

Tried the bus out from Thusis to Bellinzona, that would be one dandy ole train line if it had been built, sort of got photo of one of the FM railcars plinthed down the bottom end of the route.
A large banner, about 4 feet square with the number '18' n it has appeared above the tunnel ned trance at the end of the Landwasser viaduct. A number '7' has appeared on the hillside above Filisur, no idea why.
Natchen diversion well underway, Andermatt seems to be getting an underpass at the Disentis end of the station, either that or the line is going to be rerouted under the road. There is a lot of building work going on in Andermatt, no doubt a bit out of our price range.
The new bridge at Reichenau is underway, the sidings at Reichenau, on the left as you leave towards Disentis, the new bridge is on that side, large holes have appeared where the pillars will be going.

Arosa goods shed has been gutted internally, currrently big holes being dug in the floor.
The shop/office/apartment block opposite Chur station beyond the bus station is in the process of being demolished.
WR-S3820, the Piano Bar car was at Arosa waiting to be attached to the 17:08 to Arosa.
14:48 Arosa to Chur was 17 minutes late into Chur after the road was blocked between the big roundabout on the Plesseurquai (I think that 's the road) and the station by a two car accident.
More of the big numbers have appeared, 1 At Reichenau near the small chapel, 16 on the opposite bank of the Rhine river at Reichenau, 5 near Solis, 9 at Tiefencastel, 14 near Surava.

23403 was seen in Landquart main works, Tmf88 arrived in the afternoon destined for there as well.
In between 2 of the sheds an unknown unrestored steam loco is visible from the road.
Can't remember if the track outside Klosters goods shed was there last year, certainly isn't there now, building works have flattened the area on the other side of the road, the double track section extends about half way to Klosters Dorf.
Alvra set 6 is at Landquart with 3508 on one end and Ait57801 on the 'B' end (attached to the second class coaches)

Be516, B2416, B2419, ABDt1716
BDt1751, B2344 A1245, BDt1751
BDt1756 at Landquart
Be514, B2413, B2411, ABDt1714
Be511, B2420, ABDt171, ABDt1713

Well it would have been, if I'd not forgotten the newly built man-rider/simplex style thing at Peist. I got a sort of rushed photo from the train on the way back down, I'll post some photos later in the week.

If only I'd known, I saw more than 6, could have entered the competition. Unfortunately I've only got photos of 2.

I've added some more photos, all pre-editing. There is a sub-directory to the June 2017 folder, it might need a separate link for it to be viewable. Please let me know if it is.

There are :
videos of 108, 2 x Ge4/4I, 414
cows
houses
details of 2 Re-w type wagons
bridge girders
detail shots of BDt, Allegra railcars, Gm232, Tmf90,
the man rider at Peist, a wooden bridge at Scuol
old steam loco at Landquart
signals at Klosters

As at 22:00 on this 7th July they are still uploading.

edit to add directg link

^ it was the cows, wasn't it?
Now I've stated paying attention to them I've noticed that there is quite a variety of types/colours.

We also saw what we think was a marmot near Bernina Lagalp. That was a first, didn't know they were over this side. Saw and photographed one near Naetchen above Andermatt.

I've recently completed scanning the slide collection from the late Bruce Smetham, 1990 to 1996, so Filisur before it was rebuilt, Chur to Arosa when still DC. I ought to able to upload them some time next week to share out.

they call them Mummeltier. We saw a couple when I was there as a kid, up in the mountains. About the size of a ground hog.
nicknamed Murmeli sometimes.
